Alexandra Sennwald Oppliger, Jean-Marc Sennwald:
“For us, the kitchen combines functionality with pleasure and congeniality. It should be inspirational, and arranged in such a way that food can be prepared quickly and easily in a welcoming environment. The aesthetically pleasing lines and the Miele technology found in the appliances meet our requirements and expectations for the highest quality, and it is for this reason that we have chosen the Miele brand.“
Bright and sunny
Both apartments have a sunny, south-west aspect. The natural light plays on the walls, which open out through sliding doors onto spacious, wood-decked balconies and terraces. The thinking behind this is based on the incorporation of light and natural surroundings, blurring the distinction between the inside and outside spaces.
Blending the modern with the traditional
Lonay nestles on a sunny slope by the shores of Lake Geneva, and is characterised by its medieval buildings, green surroundings and its proximity to the lake. In the heart of the traditional architecture, inspired by the nearby castle, an exclusive dwelling containing two large apartments has been built, which, despite its modernity, radiates a special harmony both inside and out.
A sensitive mix
Corridors and hallways in the two 175 m² apartments are kept to a minimum, giving the rooms a feeling of spaciousness. This sense of space is also emphasised by the discreet blend of materials: the seamless parquet floors, white-washed walls, unpainted concrete support columns, oak furniture and light beige fabrics all reflect heightened architectural grandeur.
Aesthetic yet high-tech
The kitchen was designed jointly by the two architects. It fits beautifully and timelessly into the room concept with contemporary comfort, thanks to the high-tech Miele appliances: the induction hob blends seamlessly into the stainless steel island unit, as do the oven, compact oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. A pleasure – to cook, indulge and linger.
