More than 100 years ago, a hotel was built on the Pariser Platz in Berlin and was to become the most beautiful and luxurious hotel in the world. Hotel Adlon soon became a place to see and to be seen. Heads of states, politicians, well-known artists and famous scientists resided in the hotel when visiting the capital. Many famous and illustrious guests from all over the world have contributed to its glamorous reputation. In 1945, a fire tragically damaged a substantial part of the building. After the reunification of Germany, however, the Adlon was rebuilt at the same location as the original hotel.
