Genuine wellbeing in a mystical atmosphere
Not so long ago, many of Saint-Tropez’s inhabitants were quite convinced there were ghosts here. After the last owner had passed away, and the little train that trundled the house guests through the neighbouring pine woods had made its last journey, the little chateau, once filled with luxurious life, sank into loneliness on the hill above the village.
The pleasures of the southern sun
Famous directors have fallen for the light and atmosphere of the area and many lines have been written about the incomparable climate that enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine a year. At the hotel’s luxurious poolside, guests can enjoy service par excellence – for breakfast, lunch or a heavenly cocktail in the late afternoon. In the evenings, the Trois Saisons gourmet restaurant offers finest Mediterranean cuisine with an oriental influence served on the panoramic terrace with its fabulous views.
Art in a stylish setting
The interior of the chateau is airy and flooded with light. Typical provencal ochre complements the azure blue of the mediterrean sky, soft orange tones brighten the hotel vestibule. The château is an estate with a rich past: many artists have lived here and still come today as guests. The present Countess de la Messardière, herself a painter and descendent of the original owner, has never actually lived here, but several of her works are on permanent display in the house.
Relaxation from dawn til dusk
Each of the hotel’s 75 rooms and 41 suites has its own balcony or terrace where guests can enjoy breakfast in the morning and the distinctive fragrance of pine and oak trees in the evening when the sounds from the village quieten to a distant whisper. All the rooms are finished with natural materials such as terracotta and stone. The luxurious four posters, silky divans and soft bed linen decorated with the château’s coat of arms, are guaranteed to make the guests feel at home.
Laundry care for enjoyment, beauty and convenience
Along with top-quality bed linen and embroidered towels, there are many other types of laundry at the Château de la Messardière. In the gourmet restaurant, at the pool, in the Beach Restaurant on the hotel’s own private beach, not to mention in the Beauty Centre that offers guests massage, beauty treatments and a hairdressing salon – every part of the hotel requires perfectly laundered linen. For the care of their top-quality textiles, the hotel relies on the most up to date technology from Miele.
